We respond to any report of a fire with current and inspected equipment, and ensure our members are trained to the standards set forth by the State of Ohio.
We believe that fire prevention education is the key to reducing the number of fires in our community. We offer a variety of programs for all ages, including school visits, community events, and fire safety classes.
Our fleet is equipped with two Engine/Rescues that carry the jaws of life and other vehicle stabilization equipment.
We provide Certified Life Safety Inspectors to inspect new builds, conduct plans review, consult on hydrant locations and other fire inspection services. We follow the current Ohio Fire Code and expect anyone in our district who conducts business with the public to adhere to the OFC as well. As of October 1, 2023 we began billing for inspections, permitting, etc. We do NOT charge for residential inspections (ie. foster care).
Many of our members are trained to the water rescue operations level. The frequency of flooding is increasing as well as the abundance of large water retention ponds throughout our district.
EMS in Morrow County is provided by the Morrow County Firefighter and Squadman's Association, we support them by assisting with our cross trained firefighter/EMT's. If their squads are not available or are traveling a great distance, we will respond first and provide care until they arrive. We have a transport emergency squad and can transport basic life support emergencies to any hospital.
